Lab-grown diamonds have made a lot of headlines recently. They’re often called synthetic or cultured, but their technical name is something even simpler: manufactured diamonds. While they are essentially identical to mined diamonds in terms of chemical and optical properties, lab-grown stones are more affordable to produce and less environmentally impactful than natural stones.
